'listen to understand, not to reply' I've really been trying to make that my mantra this week. I took an awesome Franklin Covey class last week (5 choices to extraordinary productivity) and that simple little sentence really stuck out. I've been sitting thinking about it and I wonder how many people don't stop to listen or understand an email before replying. I'm guilty of it. Interrupting is another thing I'm trying to work on as well. Just taking the time to really think isn't the norm. I was having a conversation with my mom earlier and I really had to be aware that I need to stop and understand what she said, and everything that she said before I reply. It's hard, I'm not going to lie. But I think and hope in the long run it pays off. Happy Thursday!!!
